About the owner

I didn't learn to Hand Dance growing up in Baltimore.  My first exposure came in the late 1990s after I retired and settled in the DC Area.

I started my education under the instruction of the renowned Mr. Lawrence "Brad" Bradford.  After graduating from the Smooth & EZ Hand Dance Academy, I studied for another 10 years.

I began offering classes to people in my community.  It didn't take long for students from all around the greater DMV Area to join us.

For me, teaching Hand Dance is a wonderful experience.  It is a fantastic feeling to see the "light come on" as each student reaches the "aha moment" when the dance starts to come together, and they feel like they get it!

I haven't done my job if each student doesn't walk out the door with a smile on their face and an excitement to come back for the next class.

Dancing should be fun, full of excitement, and surrounded by friendships.  That's what my classes are all about.
