About the owner

I didn't learn to Hand Dance growing up in Baltimore.  My first exposure came in the late 1990s after I retired and settled in the DC Area.

I started my dance education under the renowned instructor Mr. Lawrence "Brad" Bradford, graduating from his Smooth & EZ Hand Dance Academy, I continued to study Hand Dance for another 10 years.

I founded the Odyssey Hand Dance Academy in 2020 and began offering classes to people in my community.  It didn't take long for students from all around the greater DMV Area to join us.

I find teaching Hand Dance to be a wonderful experience.  It is a fantastic feeling to see the "light come on" as each student reaches the "aha moment" when the dance starts to come together, and they feel like they get it!

My job is to instill dance excitement in each student and leave them dying to come back for the next class.

Dancing should be fun and surrounded by friendships.  That's what my classes are all about.
