Class Structure

Beginner Hand Dance Classes are grouped into 12-Class Sessions meeting from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  Our focus is on students with little or no Hand Dance Experience.  We introduce new steps one class at a time and give you before- and after-class practice time.

Next Level Hand Dance Classes are grouped into 4-Class Sessions meeting from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM for students with a solid beginner background.  We introduce more complex steps building on your basic skills.

Dance shoes are not required but are recommended.

You can join with or without a partner.  We rotate dancing with each student to build the best fundamentals.

We teach the contemporary 6-step system, counting the numbered steps and "ands" in between.  Each step has a name, which is essential for building your dance step inventory.

Early classes may be challenging and require patience, but they get easier as you learn.
